This exciting new partnership will help EFDC support local businesses through new and innovative ways – providing more opportunities to help businesses grow and thrive. The economy within the district is vibrant and diverse, based in a region that is successful and growing and located between the two international economic powerhouses of London and Cambridge.

Cllr John Philip, Cabinet Member for Finance and Economic Development at Epping Forest District Council said: “I’m so pleased Epping Forest District Council (EFDC) is now part of the North Essex Economic Board (NEEB). This new partnership will give EFDC the opportunity to share and develop new ideas with other local authorities. It will help us provide more support to local businesses and allow our economy to grow.”

Epping Forest joins NEEB at an exciting time of development, where a new strategic vision and action plan to support economic growth for the county is due to be launched later this year.

NEEB Chair Councillor Marie Goldman said “I’m delighted that EFDC is joining the NEEB. There are so many challenges and opportunities to address in the coming months and years, and we are far better placed to deliver positive results for Essex residents and local businesses if we all work together in partnership. It’s exciting to see the NEEB grow in this way and I look forward to working with EFDC and seeing the contributions that I know they will be making to discussions at the board.”
