Operating in a highly digital sector, the business delivers much of its work remotely and recently launched skillpatch.ai, an AI-powered application designed to support skills development through intelligent technology.
Discovering NEEB Link
Emma first discovered NEEB Link through a Facebook post promoting a local networking event. Curious about the local focus and accessibility, she decided to attend and has since taken part in multiple NEEB Link events, including an AI-focused session and a cybersecurity event.
“What really appealed to me was that NEEB Link is local. A lot of what I do is location-independent, so it was refreshing to meet people face-to-face who understand the local area and market.”
Emma particularly valued the low-pressure networking environment, which allowed for organic conversations with a wide range of business owners.
“At first, I didn’t realise the informal networking was intentional, but once I understood that, it became the best part. I had great conversations with people running all kinds of businesses.”
One of the most impactful experiences for Emma was attending the cyber-security focused NEEB Link event. The session provided practical and accessible guidance in an area where Emma felt less confident.
“The speaker was exceptionally well informed. It was incredibly useful to hear from someone who really knew what they were talking about in a field I don’t specialise in.”
NEEB Link helps build strong businesses
Following the event, Emma took concrete action to strengthen her business security and arranged a follow-up call with a specialist organisation connected to law enforcement.
“That follow-up was extremely useful and helped me tighten my security properly. That alone made the event worthwhile.”
Emma has made valuable professional connections through NEEB Link, including contact with another business operating in a similar technical space. She also noted an increased sense of connection to the local business community.
“I feel a little more connected, and I know that if I attended more, those relationships will really build. NEEB Link makes that possible.”
