2025-2026 NEEB Action Plan

Key Initiatives for 2025-2026:

Innovative Businesses and Skilled Residents

  • North Essex Expo 2025: NEEB will host a major presence at the Expo in September 2025, offering 20 free exhibition stands to local businesses, giving them an opportunity to connect with peers, showcase their offerings, and grow.
  • Sector-Based Job Fairs: Bringing together emerging industries and their future workforce through tailored job fairs across the region.
  • Business Support Programme: A new initiative providing expert advice, skills development, and peer networking for businesses across all stages of growth.

Prosperous and Inclusive Communities

  • Young Entrepreneur Programmes: Continued investment in our future business leaders, including a second cohort of the Earniversity programme for 13–16 year-olds, empowering them with real-world business skills.
  • Accelerator with The Weave and University of Essex: An 8-week intensive programme to help budding entrepreneurs develop and pitch their ideas.
  • Co-Working Wednesdays with ARU and Arise: A new series of interactive workshops and peer-led coworking events, promoting a founder mindset and connecting students with inspiring mentors.

This action plan signals NEEB’s dedication to building a resilient, future-ready economy that thrives on collaboration, innovation, and opportunity.

“By investing in both our businesses and our people, we’re laying the foundation for a thriving North Essex economy that’s inclusive, innovative, and ready for the future,” said Cllr Siddall, Chair of the North Essex Economic Board.
