We’re championing businesses making an Environmental Impact at the 2025 Uttlesford Business Awards
The North Essex Economic Board (NEEB) is delighted to announce its sponsorship of the Environmental Impact Award at the Uttlesford Business Awards 2025. This award recognises businesses that are leading the way in reducing their environmental footprint and driving forward sustainable initiatives within the local economy in Uttlesford, inspiring others and making a difference in the wider North Essex region too.
The North Essex Economic Board are committed to creating a greener, more sustainable future for North Essex. By sponsoring this award, we are celebrating and supporting businesses that are making significant strides in environmental responsibility, whether through innovative green products, reducing their greenhouse gas emissions, or improving resource efficiency.
The Uttlesford Business Awards, which take place each year, spans 14 categories – from the Environmental Impact Award to Innovation, Rising Star, Young Entrepreneur, Creativity and Community Champion, to Food & Drink producer and Leisure and Hospitality awards. Also available this year is the Business of the Year award – which all entrants for categories are automatically entered in to.
To become the winner of the Environmental Impact Award, businesses must demonstrate measurable efforts in sustainability, including:
- Green product innovation
- Developing environmentally friendly products and services.
- Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions
- Implementing strategies to cut carbon footprints.
- Energy and water efficiency
- Reducing consumption and improving resource management.
- Waste reduction and recycling improvements
- Minimising waste production and enhancing recycling rates.
- Sustainable supply chains – Ensuring responsible procurement and ethical sourcing.
- Reducing transport impact – Lowering the carbon footprint of logistics and distribution.
- Staff development and training – Equipping employees with the knowledge and skills to drive sustainability forward.
